Budget Templates

The budget templates below reflect the changes to the Modified Total Direct Cost Calculation that will be effective in FY26. This includes a new indirect cost rate for Organized Research of 68.5% and a change in the equipment and subcontract IDC thresholds: equipment costs will be excluded from the IDC calculation if they are less than or equal to $10,000 and only the first $50,000 of each subagreement will be assessed indirect costs. These templates should be used for proposals with an anticipated start date on or after July 1, 2025.

NSF Federal Internal Budget (FY26)

Non-Federal Internal Budget (FY26)
