Our Mission and Services

The FAS Office of Research Administration, or FORA, advances the research and scholarly mission of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences through expert guidance, comprehensive support, and seamless collaboration with researchers and administrative colleagues. As your trusted partner in navigating the complexities of the research lifecycle with integrity and care, we are your hub for research support and direction.

Research Development

The Research Development team offers a range of resources to help researchers identify funding opportunities and are also available to work individually with faculty and administrators to identify suitable funding sources based on specific funding needs and priorities.

Research Solutions

The Research Solutions team provides short term coverage for portfolio managers, offers onboarding and training, and provides expertise to resolve complex issues relating to sponsored research.

Research Risk and Compliance

The Research Risk and Compliance team is committed to supporting PIs in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences with the management of sponsored funds. In partnership with researchers, departmental administrators, central administrators, and the Office for Sponsored Programs, we support the policies and procedures that enable Harvard to be compliant with the regulations and requirements of our sponsors.
