Wenner-Gren Foundation: Post-Ph.D. Research Grants

Eligibility: Qualified scholars of any nationality or institutional affiliation who hold a doctoral degree in anthropology at the time they apply are eligible.

Deadline Month: May and November

Description: This grant program funds individual research projects undertaken by doctorates in anthropology and doctorates in related fields who have an academic appointment in an anthropology department. The goal is to support vibrant and significant work that furthers our understanding of what it means to be human. There is no preference for any methodology, research location, or subfield. The Foundation particularly welcomes proposals that integrate two or more subfields and pioneer new approaches and ideas.
