Burroughs Wellcome Fund: Career Awards at the Scientific Interface

Eligibility: Limited to citizens or permanent or temporary residents of Canada and the U.S.; must have completed at least 12 months but no more than 60 months of postdoctoral research experience (in a research laboratory) at the time of application. Candidates must have at least one first-author publication in a peer reviewed journal.

Deadline Month: September (LOI), January (full proposal, if invited)

Description: These grants—providing salary support over five years—are intended to foster the early career development of researchers who have transitioned or are transitioning from training environments in the physical/mathematical/computational sciences or engineering into postdoctoral work in the biological sciences, and who are dedicated to pursuing a career in academic research.
