Warren Alpert Foundation: Distinguished Scholar Awards – Neuroscience (LSO)

Eligibility: Minimum of 3 years and no more than 6 years of a postdoctoral fellowship by July of application year. Research must be in the field of Neuroscience. Applicant must be nominated by the dean of the medical school or equivalent institutional senior leader. Applicant must be able to commit a minimum of 75% effort to research from this award.

Internal Deadline: Since this is a Limited Submission Opportunity (LSO), there is an internal Harvard deadline a few month in advance of the sponsor deadline

Sponsor Deadline Month: November

Description: These transitional awards are to enable a postdoctoral researcher to advance to become a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor level or higher and to promote the development of a laboratory program that will lead to independent funding. The scholar will be awarded salary, lab costs, and related expenses over two years.
