Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability

The Salata Institute offers funding to support research that tackles complex climate problems – and enhances and accelerates the impacts of faculty work through external engagement. Climate Research Clusters comprise interdisciplinary, cross-School teams of researchers, whose varied expertise is required to address the complexity of the world’s climate challenge. The Seed Grant Program in Climate and Sustainability provides early-stage research and new project funding, as well as funding for workshops. The Harvard Climate and Sustainability Translational Fund propels climate and sustainability-related innovations towards startup formation. The Solar Geoengineering Research Program (SGRP) invites Harvard faculty members to apply for grants to develop new directions in their research related to solar geoengineering.
