Description: Awards support early-career tenure-track faculty conducting ground-breaking research to address major food and agriculture challenges. Selection is based on institutional nomination, applicant eligibility (faculty in a tenure-track position for no longer than three years and who are within eight years of receiving their Ph.D. and who lack prior major grant funding), research impact, and alignment with FFAR Challenge Areas. Matching funds are not required for this program.

In 2026, any selections will be contingent on the availability of funds.
