American Cancer Society: Postdoctoral Fellowships
Eligibility: Must work at a US academic institution or eligible non-profit, and be a U.S. citizen or a non-U.S. citizen with an appropriate visa or lawful immigration status at the time of application; researchers must have had a terminal doctoral degree for 3 years or less (time spent in clinical-only training is not counted) and/or completed 3 or fewer years of postdoctoral research training at the time of application.
Deadline Month: June and December
Description: This award is to support the training of researchers who have received a doctoral degree to provide initial funding leading to an independent career in cancer research (including basic, preclinical, clinical, cancer control, psychosocial, behavioral, epidemiology, health services and health policy research). Awards may be for 3 years with increased progressive stipends, additional fellowship allowance, and parental leave benefits.
