#  Stanford Humanities Center: External Faculty Fellowship 

 



**Eligibility**: Must hold a Ph.D. and have at least three years’ experience beyond the degree.

**Description**: The [Stanford Humanities Center](https://shc.stanford.edu/stanford-humanities-center/fellowships/fellowships-external-faculty) external faculty fellowships are awarded for research in the traditional and emergent disciplines of the humanities and interpretive social sciences. Faculty fellowships are awarded across the spectrum of academic ranks (assistant, associate, and full professor) and institutions. The selection process intends to create a community of scholars from diverse institutions, roles, ranks, experiences, and perspectives. Support for relocation is available. On average, eight awardees are selected from a pool of approximately 350 applicants. Fellowships are residential in Stanford, CA.
