**Eligibility**: Must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree, eligibility requirements vary by program.

**Deadline Month**: November

**Description**: [Newberry Fellowships](https://www.newberry.org/research/fellowships/long-term-fellowships) give researchers the time, space, and community required to pursue innovative and ground-breaking projects in the humanities, with collections spanning more than six centuries of human experience. Long-term residential fellowships support four to nine months at the Newberry Library in Chicago, IL. Several programs are available to support specific areas of scholarship.
