OAIR: Harvard's new Outside Activities and Interest Reporting application

On January 25, 2021, the Harvard University-wide Outside Activity and Interest Reporting (OAIR) application will be available for reporting new and updated outside professional activities and other relevant interests.

The University and the Office for Sponsored Programs will be closing for Winter Recess on Friday, December 18, 2020, at 5:00pm and reopening on Monday, January 4, 2021, at 9:00am. Please review the information below related to the process and timelines for research administration related items in advance of and following the Winter Recess.

This summer, Dean Kirwan announced the appointment of Dr. Kate Pritchett-Corning to the position of Attending Veterinarian and Director of the Office of Animal Resources. Dr. Pritchett-Corning has served as the Senior Clinical Veterinarian since 2014 and for the past year as the Interim Attending Veterinarian. Relatedly, the staff of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, who recently relocated from RAS to Science Operations, will now be managed by Dr. Pritchett-Corning in her Attending Veterinarian role. Cost Transfer Policy and Email Address

As a follow-up to the September “Formerly RAS Friday meeting”, this is a reminder that effective 10/1/2020, RAS will now approve all FAS and SEAS under 90 day Cost Transfers (CT) and remain the reviewer and approver for over 90 day CTs. OSP will only approve over 90-day CTs going forward. For more information please refer to the Cost Transfer policy.

New GMAS Cost Sharing Functionality and Changes to Signature Requirements

The most recent GMAS release that went live on Monday, April 27 contained significant changes to how cost sharing will be recorded and tracked in GMAS, including a new form that supports all sources of cost sharing and more closely aligns with the cost sharing policy, a new cost sharing approval process, and a new cost sharing request type used to make changes during the life of an award.
