Guidance for Researchers in Addressing Faculty Disclosure & Intellectual Property Protection

October 3, 2019

An important notification was sent to faculty with federal awards on August 21st. The letter from the Vice Provost for Research, Dr. Richard McCullough, is a reminder to faculty of the increased scrutiny of information submitted to federal agencies in grant applications and progress reports. If you have not seen this memo I encourage you to review it now. The memo can be accessed at https://cpb-us-e1.wpmucdn.com/websites.harvard.edu/dist/6/18/files/2021/05/faculty_disclosure_letter.pdf

Dr. McCullough’s letter references several recent notices from NIH and NSF. The letter also refers to internal document entitled “Guidance for Researchers in Addressing Faculty Disclosure & Intellectual Property Protection.” This document can be found on the OVPR website but we have posted a printable version on the RAS website and can be accessed at https://research.fas.harvard.edu/files/research/files/guidance_for_researchers_in_addressing_faculty_disclosure_and_intellectual_property_protection.pdf.
