Dr. Basavappa will present an overview of the Director’s Early Independence Award, part of the Common Fund’s High-Risk, High-Reward Program. This award supports exceptional early career scientists who possess the intellect, scientific creativity, drive, and maturity to flourish independently by bypassing the traditional post-doctoral training period. This event is open to all faculty, postdoctoral scholars, graduate students, and administrators affiliated with Harvard University.  Light refreshments will be provided.
