Date:

Thursday, September 13, 2018, 2:00pm

Location:

Dudley House, Lehman Hall, Common Room 201

FAS Research Administration Services will host an interactive workshop for arts and humanities and social science faculty on strategies for successful proposal writing. Led by Cynthia Verba, GSAS Director of Fellowships, and Carol Oja, William Powell Mason Professor of Music, the goal of the program is to provide participants with feedback on current proposals as well as to discuss general tips and strategies.

Workshop participants are invited to submit either an opening paragraph or abstract from a planned grant or fellowship proposal in advance of the session. These should be submitted to Nony Rai at nony_rai@fas.harvard.edu by September 7th if possible, or no later than two days in advance of the session. During the workshop, selected paragraphs will receive feedback from the session leaders and peer group. Submitted paragraphs will also be circulated to all attendees a couple of days ahead of the workshop.

The event is also open to faculty members who wish to participate without submitting a paragraph of their own.
