The budget templates below reflect the changes to the [Modified Total Direct Cost Calculation](https://osp.finance.harvard.edu/policy-application-indirect-costs-sponsored-awards#:~:text=Modified%20Total%20Direct%20Cost%20(MTDC)) that will be effective in FY26. This includes a new indirect cost rate for Organized Research of 68.5% and a change in the equipment and subcontract IDC thresholds: equipment costs will be excluded from the IDC calculation if they are less than or equal to $10,000 and only the first $50,000 of each subagreement will be assessed indirect costs. These templates should be used for proposals with an anticipated start date on or after July 1, 2025.
